There's only so many ways to peel a banana

Warning –unpeeling the banana may reveal political incorrectness!

 As a Gemini I am a connector – my role is to join the dots.   So when something like COVID19 comes along I just can’t NOT try and join the dots.   Particularly because right from the start everything just felt ‘off’ for me in some way. But, of course, I don’t just join the dots –I see cycles, I see where we could be heading and that freaks me out more than this virus. 

 Think of this as a play where you have a prequel to the main story and then various lead and support actors who form the main plot which in turn leads to the final outcome.   First of all we can’t look at the current event without taking into consideration the prequel – the context of a ten year backdrop of political and economic turmoil between 2008 and 2018 (Camera pans across a series of huge events most of which you have forgotten) and takes us to the present day as the support actor, in the form of a COVID 19, appears on stage – cue: all the ‘extras’ run amok in a complete state of panic and fear, including your politicians who are terrified of becoming unpopular if they make a wrong decision.  

 And the fear is whipped up, as every news and documentary programme is dominated by COVID19.  A whole populace believes there is nothing else happening in the world.   And we now find ourselves in a stage set of political correctness where anyone who has a different view from the pc one is not only ridiculed but increasingly censored.   Journalism was meant to be investigative.   Would you not rather be able to come to your own conclusions from a balance of different opinions.   Through history there are many instances of scientists incarcerated for their alternative views who time proved to be right. Just like Brexit, which dominated our news for so long, there are only so many ways you can keep asking the same questions without constantly getting exactly the same answers – there’s only so many ways you can peel a banana.  

 Back to our play – the fear ramps up because now we are seeing the potential for job losses, company collapses and a financial hit for those who live on investments.  Even my local council is already saying they could go bankrupt. But we are forced to isolate and watch this unfold from our lockdown.  So now we have a stage set dominated by fear as all those ‘extras’ on stage are now being forced to confront not only their own mortality but also their dropping incomes and they will do anything to feel safe in the belief that they will be allowed to go back to their old normal lives. 

 A novel virus, as this COVID19 is, has the potential to infect a large number of people because it hasn’t been seen before – we have no built-up immunity and no real knowledge of how it will affect each of us.   Add to the mix that this is very likely a man made virus where the coronavirus element (which has been around for a number of years and for which we have developed immunity) is a bat coronavirus to which has been added a spike protein and possibly an HIV protein to make the attack more effective.  Further add to this, as certain experts have commented, some kind of nanotechnology used during the lab manufacture of this virus (note lab manufacture rather than zoonotic/transfer from animals such as the bat) which allows it to be more airborne.   This in actual fact makes sense of an astrological chart cast in one of my groups where the virus was Mars in Aquarius (Mars the virus made technologically in an air sign).  And if it really is lab created then surely such creations are weapons of mass destruction and as such their manufacture should not be legal.

 Our treatment of this pandemic is completely different to how we have managed any other pandemic.  Never in the whole of history have healthy people been quarantined and made to self-isolate (isolation is of course a commonly used torture technique).   Historically we have shielded the sick, the elderly, the very young whilst the healthy have carried on to support the less able proportion of the population.   How long can we hide away while everything we have worked hard for collapses around us?

 So, now I am looking at the new cycles of change for 2020 in a different light because we have new context.   There are three main cycles of change showing for this year – Saturn/Pluto (a breakdown of traditional corporates which seemed to big to fail); Jupiter/Pluto (huge wealth, mass control) with both leading into some kind of financial reset and the new Jupiter/Saturn cycle – a new socio-economic era (a biggy because it lasts for 250 years) which I have said in the past would be much more technological, the use of AI, robotics and potentially the use of space.  

 So what do I think now then?   This virus has increased remote working and use of AI and robotics at an exponentially accelerated rate I feel.   Many people have found the opportunity to work from home to be a welcome change – although perhaps not all the time because a lot miss the office banter and physical interaction.  Cash strapped companies may also welcome this because it will cut down the costs of office space as employees also welcome the saving in travel costs and the stress of hours in the day taken up by travel.   Less international travel for meetings and conferences is likely because it will be found that most of the time these work adequately online and save a fortune of time and money.   And, as we have seen, all of this has huge benefits for the environment.  

 Increased use of AI and robotics will also give a saving in labour costs and provide a work force that is constant and not affected by sickness (although it could of course catch a different kind of virus!!).   With regard to the use of space there has been the release of videos by the US military showing UFO activity  (will we get more?) and also of course Musk’s satellite train (and this is just the start) bringing 5G to a screen near you!!

 We seem to have a whole host of Jupiter/Pluto people also on stage right now with wealth off the Richter scale - Musk with his space satellites and Gates with his desire to vaccinate the world against anything and everything. But alongside this comes proposals for a digital identity and increased surveillance.   Now 5G is a whole other ball game because without it we can’t put this whole new digital age into actuality.   But as with everything the sugar coating may wear quickly off the bon-bon to reveal the acid taste of control.  Remember our scared shitless actors who are still frozen with fear on the stage – they are gagging to swallow the sugar-coated pill because finally they can feel safe.   They will know that everyone around them has been vaccinated and they have zero chance of catching this virus.   But in return they find they have also given up their freedom and their ability to live at least part of their lives blessed with some kind of anonymity and privacy.   They have made a pact with the devil and Big Brother now knows their every move – he knows where they are and who they are with, the fear of cash has put every penny they spend into the knowledge pot and potentially even their thoughts may also be uploaded too.  

 Very coincidentally Event 201 (co-hosted by Gates) in October 2019 (just before COVID19 was released into the world) was a simulation of a global pandemic.  And patent 060606 (those numbers!!), was filed in March 2020 for a Microsoft crypto currency using body activity data.  (My thanks to fellow astrologer Francesca Oddie for noting this one).

 The plot of our play still has more twists and turns to reveal I think.  COVID19 is just a support actor to reach the conclusion!!

 It’s easy to see how in a state of fear we could sleep walk into a new era controlled by technology without fully realizing the world we might be creating.   So what do we have the power to do that is positive?  Our stage set also includes the big line up of planets in Capricorn.   Now Capricorn screams effort, hard work, responsibility – Saturn, the boss of Capricorn, primarily seeks to make us take responsibility for ourselves and our actions.   Saturn represents our common sense that has been built up over time through our life experiences.  How can we take personal responsbility?   Well back to the humble banana.   The banana has a thick skin, which is hard to penetrate.   Firstly the skin doesn’t let anything get to the goodness of the banana until it knows who is at the door.  Do your own investigative journalism – seek the facts and make up your own mind as opposed to acceptance of the party line.   Is it really your friend who is trying to unpeel the banana?  

 The skin keeps the banana fresh till you want to eat it.   It’s the banana’s immune system.   It’s really important to take responsibility for your own health and your own immune system.   A big proportion of those who have died have compromised immune systems due to disease, diabetes, obesity, lack of fitness, poor diet.   Many of these things are within your control.   “Let thy food be thy medicine” – eat nutritious food, get outside in the fresh air and keep your body fit and lithe.   Take vitamins – particularly C and D.

 Fear is another enemy.   Fear reduces the immune system and puts the body under stress.   Self-isolation breeds and increases fear and stress.   Even a swathe of children will be conditioned to growing up with a fear of ‘the germ’.   Staying indoors reduces the immune system.  So when everyone is let out of lockdown many will do so with impaired immune systems.  But is your fear really in perspective?   The risk of death from this virus is still small despite how it is blown up in the everyday news.  My son, alongside many others I know, has probably had the virus but suffered only mildly.  Fear will produce a bad inedible banana.

 We have to move on and take forward what this has taught us.  We will perhaps be forced to balance the virus against the economy and our futures.  There is already collateral damage in terms of other health conditions that have been left untreated; poor countries that rely on tourism are already suffering greatly as the tourists stay at home and orders for cheaply manufactured goods in countries such as India and Pakistan are being cancelled by struggling companies in the West, bringing huge hardship for those who rely on a meagre amount of money to support their extended families.  And if we tip into depression more will die and neither will we be able to support a good health care service.  So it’s Catch 22 whichever way you go.

 You can wrap yourself up in the skin of the banana and see nothing that you don’t want to see but then you never see the beauty of nature around you let alone see that your body has everything it needs to be healthy.   Our bodies were designed to self heal – just like a cut finger gradually heals itself.   But for that to happen you have to care for it and look after it.   Then you can be secure enough to peel your banana and reveal a healthy fresh fruit.  The banana has to grow in order to reach ripeness.   We are just the same.   Through gaining wisdom we reach maturity.   So just like the banana wisdom and maturity will be your friend.  Don’t be afraid to open up your banana.

 I should add that I don’t really know why I have chosen the humble banana because personally I can’t stand them or indeed even the smell.   They have made me feel sick since I was a baby.   But maybe I should learn to love them!  And we may all be forced to do things we don’t like.  New eras demand change.  If we are going to live our lives according to the truth of our Soul’s purpose we must make our own individual choices.  We can choose if we want surveillance and dependence on others.   We can choose mandatory annual vaccines, which will be traceable by digital control and allow us to go to school, to travel or attend mass gatherings – that’s for the individual to choose.   But at least let us choose from a point where nothing is hidden from us; where we are not suspicious of the ingredients or the motive.   And look forward, join the dots and see the life that our children and grandchildren will inherit.   

 Embracing the community is one huge potential to take from the current scenario.  Looking at aspects in astrology is weighing up the negatives and positives of the bell curve of each one.  COVID19 is the support actor to reach the conclusion.  The community is symbolic of a new Aquarian era where each of us takes personal responsibility to use our own individual talent (and we all have one) for the good of the whole.   The flip side is some kind of control via technology so at least ensure that you are the master of the new technology that is for sure coming and not its slave.  To be the master we must become wise, take responsibility and use our own common sense based on transparency of information.   Peel your own banana rather than have someone else do it for you.
