Dancing with the Dark
If there were no Moon. If there were no stars. If there were no light. If there were only Darkness. Would I dance alone in the dark? Or would I gather my courage and dance with the dark?
We are in the midst of eclipse energy - a Solar Eclipse on April 20th and now a lunar eclipse on May 5th in Scorpio, where the Earth is positioned between the Moon and Sun at the Full Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon’s surface. Eclipse energy lingers – it’s not a switch that turns off when the eclipse is over. Eclipse energy augurs change with events we may not see coming; Black Swan events maybe. Or perhaps events that we would see coming if we embraced the dark and really saw what it contains.
The eclipsed Moon – the people, the common man - will fall at 14 degrees Scorpio very widely conjunct the South Node; the people give something up or something comes to an end. Scorpio is a sign that already struggles to find light; it is the sign of the Underworld and what is hidden. Do we dance around inside that darkness, or do we embrace it and dance with it? Once we embrace darkness our eyes adjust, our other senses begin to take over and in this heightened state we can find what it is that we must let go of. And indeed we may find that we never needed it in the first place.
Within that Scorpionic darkness we find all the hurts and pains that we have pushed down and deeply buried so that we don’t have to acknowledge them. Within that darkness we must first let go of the ego – it does not serve us and leads us down the wrong paths. The ego is the false face, it only thinks of the self and what the self requires. Within that darkness, if we dance long enough with it, we find treasures and gifts too; within those pains and hurts lie talents that we have never allowed ourselves to acknowledge. They lie very deeply buried, their roots deeply entangled with our belief systems that often tell us we are not good enough to act in certain directions. But these are merely belief systems that we have learned over many years. They have no real base and can be turned on their heads if we just extricate them from the dark tentacles that keep them pulled down and buried with no escape.
Within darkness there is no point erecting a façade; no point having an image to live up to – no one can see it anyway. We are as though we are naked. Within darkness we balance truth and lies from our gut intuition – there is no room for ‘the emperor’s new clothes’ type of movement. We must strip bare and face our own truths as well as the truths we might choose to ignore.
At this lunar eclipse it seems on the surface that the Sun (the leaders) hold all the cards, lining them up against the people. The Sun has the disruptive Uranus by his side, as well as Mercury – communications, the media and young people – all captured. Are the leaders about to alienate us from something? Or rather is it something that no-one, least of all the leaders, expected or has seen coming; something that was hidden maybe but will certainly be unexpected. We will see it clearly soon anyway as the Sun shines its light on Uranus just a few days after the eclipse. Mars, ruler of the Moon, sits at a pivotal degree which appears to crop up at important points in time (22 degrees cardinal). Whilst Mars, ruler of the Moon, might have lost his cocky façade when he moved into the sign of Cancer, he has been forced into more defensive actions as he locks heads with a warrior like Jupiter. Their actions become more potent as they both begin to move forward to the ends of their signs and echo the energy of the Solar Eclipse.
Both rulers of the Moon, Mars and Pluto, are tied up in a dance with the destiny axis of the nodes – but it’s much more than that. As Mars and Jupiter move into their positions, Jupiter will go on to change signs and meet the North Node and form the focal point of a T square with both Pluto and Mars. Pluto, having got no further than 0 Aquarius, has turned retrograde ready to tie up the loose ends of whatever it is within our lives that is coming to an end in Capricorn. The full new beginnings that Aquarius augurs await us in January next year – but I suspect that they involve some kind of control via algorithms/AI. We have, however, seen glimpses. And we have until early June to continue experiencing the alchemical results of Aquarian energy. So this is very potent and volatile energy which has the potential to affect us on a fated/destiny level. Pluto’s journey through Capricorn was very apparent in the corruption revealed that clearly lies within Capricorn type structures – large corporates, government and banking institutions. The corruption has been revealed but it all still continues! So what does this augur for Pluto in Aquarius – definitely the AI but perhaps something bigger in terms of humanity and the future of humanity?
Mars in the sign of the people and Jupiter in Mars’ sign are in a dynamic square which, by May 20th, will have seen both of them trigger the degree of the Solar Eclipse. So this was a Solar Eclipse that continues to be recharged. By the time we get to that point Mars, Pluto, Jupiter, the nodal/destiny axis and Mercury (now direct) are all involved in some kind of flashpoint. The Taurus line up suggests that something within the financial system is about to erupt or it could be something Earth/climate related. Venus sextiles Jupiter and with both about to change signs some kind of change is clearly afoot. Pam Gregory in her latest video highlights the chart for the Wall Street Crash, which echoes both the current position of Uranus and the final degree of Capricorn to which Pluto is returning. Is Uranus about to launch the thunderbolt that will really begin to produce the shockwaves? We can never go far wrong if we just follow the money. That axiom has proved correct right through history. Why do some things remain secret? Money, always money. Why do people wage wars – money, always money. Someone always always profits from war. And life today is based on competition, competition for the trappings of life. Whilst the real reason for war is concealed and the reason for humanity’s existence has been numbed and dumbed down.
And on cue yet another American Bank heads for the toilet – this time First Republic. And yet again there has been some face saving and concealment with a purchase by J P Morgan Chase. Always the same names isn’t it? I wonder, however, at some point whether it will be even possible to give CPR to outdated financial systems that have been chronically affected by the manipulation of quantitative easing and those who hold the money puppet-strings? As I put this blog to bed there are rumours of another American Bank – First Horizon – and at least two more that are in trouble. They do have a serious lot of banks in America but keep a close eye on what is happening within the fields of money – things are just not right there. And whilst we might be seeing some bail outs it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we might in the future see bail-ins, as we saw in Cyprus not so many moons ago.
This lunar eclipse contains memories of November 2021 and August of last year, as well as the lunar eclipse of November 2022. In November 2021 we faced our second lockdown in the UK; we also saw the start of the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell. Why have all those secrets seemingly been protected? Money talks or protects. And on December 1, 2021 the WHO Director General announced the drafting of a global process to ‘strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness and response’ a process that if adopted would change national approaches to health threats. Those who would benefit appear to be those who support the idea of global and public/private governance.
The destruction of the Nordstream pipelines occurred in September 2022; undoubtedly the biggest act of terrorism affecting Europe for many many years and yet we continue to ask no questions and seemingly also to seek no answers. Why? The information seems successfully buried. The Solar Eclipse of October 2022 is not too far from the position of the South Node currently and the November 2022 lunar eclipse sits opposite this current one. These memories are huge, as I think events of the upcoming month will prove to be and reflections of these events may reoccur. But something has numbed the people into a state of apathetic darkness where they feel they have no power and this is being highlighted by this lunar eclipse in Scorpio.
Pluto represents transformation and very often the psycho-spiritual, death/rebirth energy of transformation. But in addition to transformation of some kind, Pluto speaks of power, trust and betrayal. And all the memories contained within the eclipse speak of exactly this – the power of the few and the betrayal of the many. Just the day after the eclipse Charles will be anointed King. With his Moon already having been highlighted at the Solar Eclipse I doubt a self-respecting astrologer would have chosen the date!! Charles has Pluto in Leo in his first house at 16 degrees so this lunar eclipse and last November’s lunar eclipse both square this point in his chart, whilst transiting Pluto squares his Moon at 0 Taurus, already rocked by the April Solar Eclipse a degree away at 29 Aries. Issues of power are dogging him right now at a point when he appears to have eschewed his long-held feelings on tree hugging and organic farming; he has given his endorsement to the precision breeding bill of animals and crops, effectively meaning that gene editing can be carried out to both without any need to inform the unwitting consumers. This seems a huge about turn and one wonders why – although I doubt he will be consuming bugs or anything that has been precision bred. This feels like a huge betrayal. Was this a necessary condition of being involved with Davos and the money/purse strings, because it certainly appears that there is an alignment with their stakeholders and their public/private initiatives? Our King’s views on Terra Carta and an alignment with Agenda 2030 occupy a large area on the WEF website for all to see. Words are easy but this feels like a betrayal of the people?
It becomes even more important, therefore, that we go within the darkness to where lies our Soul. So firstly, where can we find a release point? That comes from Saturn, currently in Pisces. Saturn receives a lot of bad press, but he is our greatest teacher of lessons. We may not realise that the world is undergoing a psycho/spiritual death rebirth process and that we are in need of a teacher. Someone who can show us that life is about having some type of meaning. Someone who can go to the corners of the oceans, which at the moment Saturn surely can. The ancients regarded the waters as the source of life that erupted from its depths. They also viewed the sky as another type of cosmic waters producing its own energies. Neptune in Pisces has almost given us the ideology of idolising celebrity status – I feel like a cross between being a real live participant in a bad movie whilst also being a voyeur of the making of the Matrix. With celebrity status comes the desire for money and the Taurus/Scorpio nodal axis has highlighted value systems – the notion of money and the covert nature of its manipulatory behaviour. Pure Pisces, however, will free float. Pure Pisces will look for the spirituality – something that has been lost in the race for money and quick gratification fixes. And Saturn will show us how to have resilience in the face of ‘chaos’; how to have the inner strength to overcome the hurdles and difficulties we face whilst raising our level of consciousness on a spiritual level in the face of them.
Lunar eclipses always have a more emotional bent than solar eclipses. But in water signs even more so. This eclipse calls for us to travel down into the darkness and seek out the skills and talents that have been buried alongside all the hurts and pains. They will be there and we are going to need them. Saturn will provide the resilience whilst Pisces will bring us the pureness of spiritual understanding that can teach us so much.
