‘Fukushima, Nuclear Radiation & World Transits’

It’s been a long summer working for me. Two books to finish, along with what feels like a ton of forecasting work – natal, mundane and astrometeorological – amid historic transitional times.

The work continues through this autumn, over the winter months, and into next spring and summer, during the cardinal crisis year of 2014.

Reading this, try to understand how to fit forecasts on things trending, and those events to come, into your own life, so that you are better able to survive, and to thrive, in a historic transitional age.

I have forecasted, years ago, that the Twenty-Tens would be that era. We are now living within it.

While angst, fear and paranoia is par for course for the oligarchy and baby boomer generational establishment, we can clearly see how their internal fears and spiritual bankruptcy has caused a mess in the world at large.

At this time, in the months prior to spring 2014, we stand at a crucial juncture.

I continue to be highly critical and outright opposed to the generational establishments that continue to turn the world upside down. They are simply outside of their own minds and will be remembered as such.

The new hybrid eclipse moon of Nov. 3, 2013 sees a month where the world transitions into another phase of the cardinal crisis transits.

As the fourth exact world Uranus-Pluto square gets underway on November 1, 2013, the situation at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant could not be more dire.

Red Alert: Fukushima Reactor #4’

An operation with potentially ‘apocalyptic’ consequences is expected to begin in a little over two weeks from now – as early as November 8, 2013 – at Fukushima’s damaged and sinking Reactor 4, when plant operator TEPCO will attempt to remove over 1,300 spent fuel rods holding the radiation equivalent of 14,000 Hiroshima bombs from a spent fuel storage tank perched on the reactor’s upper floor.

While the Reactor 4 building itself did not suffer a meltdown, it did suffer a hydrogen explosion, is now tipping and sinking and has zero ability to withstand another seismic event.

The Japan Times explains,

“To remove the rods, TEPCO has erected a 273-ton mobile crane above the building that will be operated remotely from a separate room.

[…] spent fuel rods will be pulled from the racks they are stored in and inserted one by one into a heavy steel chamber while the assemblies are still under water.

Once the chamber is removed from the pool and lowered to the ground, it will be transported to another pool in an undamaged building on the site for storage.

Under normal circumstances, such an operation would take little more than three months, but TEPCO is hoping to complete the complicated task within fiscal 2014.

A chorus of voices has been sounding alarm over the never-been-done-at-this-scale plan to manually remove the 400 tons of spent fuel by TEPCO, who so far has been responsible for mishap after mishap in the ongoing crisis at the crippled nuclear plant.

Arnie Gundersen, a veteran U.S. nuclear engineer and director of Fairewinds Energy Education, warned this summer that, “They are going to have difficulty in removing a significant number of the rods,”

He added that, “To jump to the conclusion that it is going to work just fine is quite a leap of logic.”

Paul Gunter, MD, Director of the Reactor Oversight Project with Takoma Park, Md.-based Beyond Nuclear, also sounded alarmed, saying,

“Given the uncertainties of the condition and array of the hundreds of tons of nuclear fuel assemblies, it will be a risky round of highly radioactive pickup sticks.”

Gundersen offered this analogy of the challenging process of removing the spent fuel rods:

“If you think of a nuclear fuel rack as a pack of cigarettes, if you pull a cigarette straight up it will come out — but these racks have been distorted.

“Now, when they go to pull the cigarette straight out, it’s going to likely break and release radioactive cesium and other gases, xenon and krypton, into the air.

“I suspect come November, December, January that we are going to hear that the building’s been evacuated, that they’ve broken a fuel rod, and the fuel rod is off-gassing.

“I also suspect that we’ll have more airborne releases as they try to pull the fuel out.

“If they pull too hard, they’ll snap the fuel. I think the racks have been distorted, the fuel has overheated — the pool boiled – and the net effect is that it’s likely some of the fuel will be stuck in there for a long, long time.

The Japan Times adds:

“Removing the fuel rods is a task usually assisted by computers that know their exact location down to the nearest millimeter.

“Working virtually blind in a highly radioactive environment, there is a risk the crane could drop or damage one of the rods – an accident that would heap even more misery onto the Tohoku region.

As long-time anti-nuclear activist Harvey Wasserman explained,

“The spent fuel rods must be kept cool at all times. If exposed to air, their zirconium alloy cladding will ignite, the rods will burn and huge quantities of radiation will be emitted.

“Should the rods touch each other, or should they crumble into a big enough pile, an explosion is possible.

In the worst-case scenario, RT states,

“The pool could come crashing to the ground, dumping the rods together into a pile that could fission and cause an explosion many times worse than in March 2011.

Wasserman says that the plan is so risky it requires a global take-over, an urging Gunter also shared, stating that the ‘dangerous task should not be left to TEPCO but quickly involve the oversight and management of independent international experts.’

Wasserman added that,

“The bring-down of the fuel rods from Fukushima Unit 4 may be the most dangerous engineering task ever undertaken.

“Every indication is that TEPCO is completely incapable of doing it safely, or of reliably informing the global community as to what’s actually happening.

“There is no reason to believe the Japanese government could do much better.

“This is a job that should only be undertaken by a dedicated team of the world’s very best scientists and engineers, with access to all the funding that could be needed.

“The potential radiation releases in this situation can only be described as apocalyptic. The cesium alone would match the fallout of 14,000 Hiroshima bombs.

“If the job is botched, radiation releases could force the evacuation of all humans from the site, and could cause electronic equipment to fail.

“Humankind would be forced to stand helplessly by as billions of curies of deadly radiation pour into the air and the ocean.”

As dire as Wasserman’s warning sounds, it is echoed by fallout researcher Christina Consolo, who told RT that the worst case scenario could be “a true apocalypse.”

Gunter’s warning was dire as well.

“Time is of the essence as we remain concerned that another earthquake could still topple the damaged reactor building and the nuclear waste storage pond up in its attic,” he continued. “This could literally re-ignite the nuclear accident in the open atmosphere and inflame it into hemispheric proportions,” said Gunter.

Wasserman says that given the gravity of the situation, the eyes of the world should be upon Fukushima:

“This is a question that transcends being anti-nuclear.

“The fate of the earth is at stake here and the whole world must be watching every move at that site from now on.

“With 11,000 fuel rods scattered around the place, as a ceaseless flow of contaminated water poisoning our oceans, our very survival is on the line.”

As cleanup crews gear themselves up to begin the treacherous task of removing 400 tons of spent fuel from the Fukushima Daiichi Reactor No. 4 in the coming weeks, reports continue to flood in showing that radiation from the stricken plant is still causing major environmental damage all over the world.

Particularly on the West Coast of the U.S., a multitude of strange animal deaths, high radiation readings and other recent anomalies suggest that the Fukushima disaster is far from over.

It is simply ludicrous, in other words, for anyone to suggest at this point that these Fukushima woes are dwindling, as fresh evidence suggests that quite the opposite is true.

A recent report by Michael Snyder over at TheTruthWins.com highlights 28 signs that the U.S. West Coast is still being torn up by nuclear radiation from Fukushima.

Many of these signs include strange illnesses and mass deaths among sea creatures and other animals, as well as high radiation readings from dozens of monitoring stations.

“Every single day, 300 tons of radioactive water from Fukushima enters the Pacific Ocean,” writes Snyder about this one major sign.

“That means that the total amount of radioactive material released from Fukushima is constantly increasing, and it is steadily building up in our food chain.”

“We are a fortnight away from what could be the most dangerous and violent moment humanity has ever faced and no one is watching. Very few have reported on what is about to happen, starting in November.

The operation to remove 400,000 kg of highly irradiated spent fuel rods beneath the Fukushima plant’s damaged Reactor No. 4, could set off a catastrophe greater than any we have ever seen, numerous independent experts warn.

An operation of this scale, says plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Company, has never been attempted before, and is wrought with danger.

Many in the know have left Japan with their families this month ahead of this extremely painstaking, risky and razor’s edge major project.”

‘Fukushima Nuclear Radiation & The Pacific Ocean’

Another obvious sign is the recent mass migration of radioactive debris the size of California across the Pacific Ocean. BBC News in the U.K. reported in 2012, that literally millions of tons of radioactive debris had begun traveling across the Pacific Ocean, and that some of it had already impacted Hawaii and even the West Coast.

There has also been a series of strange animal deaths recently, including masses of sea lions, sockeye salmon and other sea creatures washing up on the shore.

Many of the polar bears, seals and walruses observed along the Alaska coastline have also been found to have major fur loss and open sores, both of which are indicative of radiation poisoning.

Then we have the scientific reports that claim radioactive water will continue to impact the U.S. West Coast for many years to come, potentially doubling in strength over the next five or six years.

Plankton, blue-fin tuna, diverse species of fish, and other sea life collected between Hawaii and California are already testing high for radiation, and these levels are expected to continue increasing.

Look at what’s going on now:

“They are dumping huge amounts of radioactivity into the ocean – no one expected that in 2011,” stated Daniel Hirsch, a nuclear policy lecturer at the University of California-Santa Cruz recently to Global Security Newswire.

“We could have large numbers of cancer from ingestion of fish.”

There will most certainly be a major uptick in cancer rates due to the Fukushima incident, as the Japan Meteorological Agency’s Meteorological Research Institute estimates that some 60 billion becquerels of radioactive cesium and strontium are being dumped into the Pacific Ocean every single day.

The Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) also admits that as much as 40 trillion becquerels of radioactive tritium have been released into the Pacific since the disaster began.

Those who still say that the Chernobyl disaster was worse than Fukushima may also want to consider that a Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution study conducted in October 2011 concluded that Fukushima had already released up to 100 times more radiation into the environment than Chernobyl at that time.

Today, this amount is likely astronomically higher, especially when you take into account all the airborne radioactive plumes that have been detected billowing across the ocean and over U.S. soil.

The Iodine-131, Cesium-137 and Strontium-90 that are constantly coming from Fukushima are going to affect the health of those living the the northern hemisphere for a very, very long time.

Consider this,

Iodine-131, for example, can be ingested into the thyroid, where it emits beta particles (electrons) that damage tissue.

A plague of damaged thyroids has already been reported among as many as 40 percent of the children in the Fukushima area.

That percentage can only go higher. In developing youngsters, it can stunt both physical and mental growth. Among adults it causes a very wide range of ancillary ailments, including cancer.

Cesium-137 from Fukushima has been found in fish caught as far away as California. It spreads throughout the body, but tends to accumulate in the muscles.

Strontium-90’s half-life is a Saturn cycle of 29-30 years. It mimics calcium and goes to the bones.

‘Historic Times’

Since my earthquake and tsunami forecast for March 11, 2011, the disaster at Fukushima has encounter threats from cyclones and more earthquakes, where another recent quake also shook Japan this month.

TEPCO, the owner of the Fukushima nuclear plant, is building an underground frozen wall to prevent contaminated water leaking into the sea. It is also testing a system to decontaminate the water.

Just offshore from the Fukushima plant, scientists from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in the United States are working alongside their Japanese counterparts, monitoring radiation levels. Among them is senior marine chemist Ken Buesseler.

“That radiation is moving across the Pacific, but it gets much, much lower even short distances offshore,” he said.

Buesseler said a bigger concern is the accumulation of isotopes in marine life. Earlier this year, cesium isotopes from Fukushima were found in tuna caught off California.

“The tuna that were caught off San Diego with the Fukushima cesium isotopes, they were 10 to 20 times lower than they had been off Japan.

“Now the new releases, the leak from the tanks – they’re changing in character.

“Strontium 90 has become of more concern because it’s a bone-seeking isotope. That will stay in fish much longer,” he said.

Now, as they attempt to remove all those fuel rods in Reactor #4,

Yale Professor Charles Perrow has a warning that if the cleanup of Fukushima is not handled with 100% precision, that humanity could be threatened “for thousands of years…”

“Conditions in the Unit #4 pool, that’s 100 feet from the ground, are perilous, and if any two of the rods touch it could cause a nuclear reaction that would be uncontrollable.

“The radiation emitted from all these rods, if they are not continually cool and kept separate, would require the evacuation of surrounding areas including Tokyo.

“Because of the radiation at the site, the 6,375 rods in the common storage pool could not be continuously cooled; they would fission and all of humanity will be threatened, for thousands of years.”

Obviously, we are living in historic times.

‘What To Be Done?’

Mundane Astrology is applied towards averting disasters as much as it is in warning about disasters.

I see many things as I scan world transits of history, from the past, to the present, and into the future.

What I can tell you all is that things are going from bad to very worse unless those uncreatives, who have been in power, are not removed from all their positions.

I think that they done quite enough, don’t you?

They tend to drag everyone into total messes and then run from their responsibilities and the blame.

That cannot be allowed to go on.

I have been forecasting and warning on the coming mutable middle years of this decade, which precede the cardinal climax years of 2018-2020.

Using the rest of this year, and into 2014 to make adjustments and changes in lifestyle will require significant emotional, mental and spiritual work in order to make the transition according to the realities now trending worldwide.

Of course, this includes diet, how you eat, where you live and how you approach the environmental changes forced by the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

According to Tepco, a total of somewhere between 20 trillion and 40 trillion becquerels of radioactive tritium have gotten into the Pacific Ocean since the Fukushima disaster first began.

That was two years ago.

A senior researcher of marine chemistry at the Japan Meteorological Agency’s Meteorological Research Institute says that “30 billion becquerels of radioactive cesium and 30 billion becquerels of radioactive strontium” are being released into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima – every single day.

A European Union-funded study concluded that Fukushima Daiichi released up to 210 quadrillion becquerels of cesium-137 into the atmosphere.

Another recent study concluded that a very large plume of Cesium-137 from the Fukushima disaster will start flowing into U.S. coastal waters early next year.

Ocean computer simulations showed that the plume of radioactive cesium-137 released by the Fukushima disaster in March 2011 could begin flowing into American coastal waters beginning early 2014 and peak by the year 2016.

It is also being projected that significant levels of cesium-137 will reach every corner of the Pacific Ocean by the cardinal climax year of 2020.

Sadly, much of humanity has not evolved to the point where they are conscious to care enough about the things that they do, or do not do, and so we have these very dangerous anomalous events brought on by denial of the actual functions of the natural world, that is, Astrology.

As a mundane astrologer, what I can tell you is that the future is being changed, altered, by choices and decisions made in the near past, and of course, in the present.

Because these correspond to the outer, external transpersonal planets, they are out of the control of the individual, but also speak volumes to the bureaucratic, ideological and corporate imbecility of two generations, both on the wane right now, in this decade.

And, what they are leaving behind must be accounted for, and punished, while simultaneously, new ways of tackling the most pressing, serious and systemic problems that they created, has to be counteracted and put into direct action.

As always, time runs short, but, in the case of Fukushima’s impact on the world, well, time has already run out.

For instance, the immense amount of nuclear radiation from Fukushima deliberately poured into the water of the Pacific Ocean, has caused environmental activist Joe Martino to issue the following warning:

“Your days of eating Pacific Ocean fish are over.”
