The Great Awakening

So a slight change in format for this blog.  Rather than just the Full Moon on December 30th, I am combining this with the epically important energies of the Solstice and the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.   I am regarding all of this as an energy of “Great Awakening”.

 As we approach the Full Moon on December 30th we head towards a perfect storm in the UK of Brexit and Covid.   As the days begin to draw out after the Solstice, Jupiter and Saturn will have fully begun their “new world” era in future oriented Aquarius; many are literally fighting for their physical and mental survival in these extreme times.   Jupiter and Saturn conjunctions mark times of changes in social and economic development, and the signs and the elements they occupy during their journey demonstrate the way our culture and history unfolds.  They meet every 20 years, but their full cycle is one that takes around 800 years through the four elements of Fire, Earth, Air and Water.   For over 200 years they conjoin in the same element, but a meeting 40 years prior heralds the tone of the full new cycle. 

 The Earth cycle, which began fully in 1842 dies on the 21st December.   The first glimpse though of that cycle was actually in 1802, the early days of the Industrial Revolution, when many new technological innovations were developed first in Great Britain.  It marked a major turning point in history when almost every aspect of daily life underwent some kind of change and the standard of living in the western world began to increase.   It’s hard to say exactly when the Industrial Revolution began, but it seems that the start was around the late 1700’s, with the full effects not being felt until around 1830.    This correlates pretty well with the first Jupiter/Saturn entry in Earth in 1802 and the full unfolding in 1842.   

Fast forward to December 21st we begin a brand new Air cycle at 0 degrees Aquarius lasting right up until the end of 2159, but the unfolding of this new cycle actually began at the end of 1980.   Aquarius is very much a future oriented sign representing technology, and particularly computer technology, that travels through the Air in an invisible way.  The heralding of the new cycle in 1980 was the point where this type of technology became much more ‘high street’.  This was also the point of the birthing of the Internet and none of what we see ahead of us now would be possible without that. The epidemic of that time was AIDS and HIV – now we have Covid.    So we have had 40 years to become accustomed to a world of Air and being connected, like it or not, 24/7.   I can interact so easily now with some amazing people and thereby expand my level of consciousness, but I am also in danger of subtle control of my conscious thought that I may not always see coming.

 The era we are leaving is one of Earth – tangibles, mass production, capitalism, the corporates and the plutocrats.   The era of Air we are entering represents the intangible, the mind and Space.   In Earth our means of connection could be seen – railways, cars, planes etc.   In Air our connections are more likely invisible in terms of Smart connections – Smart roads, Smart cities, Smart tech and if we aren’t careful Smart humanity.  But what if we learned from the animal world and became more mindful of a different type of invisible - our instincts and our intuition?

 Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus.   Uranus in the form of Prometheus defied the Gods to give Man the gift of Fire so that Man could grow and develop. Uranus energy is intended to awaken us and excite us to what is new and to what will allow us to grow and develop.   We are constantly evolving beings.  Uranus wants to electrify stagnant waters.  There is no going back once we have been woken up; we have to move forward to the new.   Saturn’s rulership allows these innovations to be given form and structure and eventually they will become the tradition and the norm.  Saturn demands responsibility, so he expects everyone to go forward with a responsibility and a work ethic towards their community, because Aquarius is also about community and togetherness.   The issue for 2021, and indeed 2022, is that the dominant energy of Saturn and Uranus will be a square (conflict) between these two guys.  So this entry into a new age is not a smooth transition.  We will see continuing rising civil strife, revolutionary energies and unexpected upsets, particularly as the UK lurches into a harsh lockdown. 

 The effect of the recent eclipses will still be felt right into next year and at the Full Moon events reach a climax as in the UK we literally “let go” of our European partners.  This transition is likely to be a tough one, particularly as the chart for the UK at the time of the Solstice indicates difficulties and hurdles that must be overcome.  Bearing in mind Aquarius’ future oriented approach, what else do we need to let go of as we enter 2021? 

 The Full Moon will be in sensitive Cancer where she is at her strongest.  She is in her own sign and she will fight to the death for her beliefs and her family.  We have left the oppressive Capricorn log jam behind and only Pluto is left to sort out the loose ends.   His energy will for the next three years finish off the destruction and annihilation of the old order.   Interesting timing as his entry into Aquarius is just after the Saturn Uranus square has ended and as Saturn changes signs into Pisces.  

 Air is the mind and our beliefs, but as I have said previously we don’t just have one brain in charge – we have three.   One lives in our head, one in our heart and one in our gut – and all need to be working together in harmony.   In the same way we have three eyes – two that we know about and then there’s our third eye or our mind’s eye.   This is much more intangible – it is intuitive and instinctive.   It links with our sub conscious and with the sub conscious of the collective, which gathers all the knowledge from the past and from the future.   The future informs our present and our sub-conscious ‘knows’ what we are moving towards, so we must re-learn how to tap into this store of knowledge.  If our bodies are in good shape and we free ourselves from fear, our instincts begin to function and we can then learn to trust them.  But right now it’s almost as though our senses have become dulled as we have handed over responsibility to our smart phones to deliver our needs.    That’s great fodder for control of the species.   We have to come back to understanding and following our instincts and that means our brains and eyes need to be part of a ‘healthy’ ecosystem.

 This Full Moon also puts the accent on the feminine and the feminine way of doing things – the lunar system. Most of the greedy corporates and plutocrats are currently the old men who are part of the more masculine Solar system. Indeed Saturn literally represents old men, while Saturn’s shadow energy in the fixed sign of Aquarius is potentially one of strict control by technology, a control which Jupiter will only seek to expand at first.  If we allow ourselves to stay in an abusive relationship with those who seek to control us that could mean we enter an era of transhumanism where humanity is intended to provide the profit opportunity.  But there is a different way to become transhuman and that is ‘transcendence’ by elevating our level of consciousness.   If we do that, we transcend in a very different way and become enlightened beings.  The feminine way is to actually feel and to care. And that needs love - the highest vibrating frequency.   And love requires harmony within body and mind.

 This blog is called the Great Awakening for a reason and that’s because we need to wake the sleeping giant within.  If we don’t the Sixth Mass Extinction (our current extinction period) will likely become inevitable.   We’ve already done a pretty good job of killing off the natural eco balance within nature.   Our minds have in many cases been dumbed down, controlled by clever psychological manipulatory systems as a means of perception management; now we are destroying the eco system of our bodies too.

 As crops have been vigorously sprayed we have upset nature’s balance. We have killed off the bees and the small animals who performed their own service to the land.   Both nature and our bodies are finely tuned harmonious systems but, as Man’s greed has come into play during this Earth cycle, we have meddled. To be honest our bodies are a bloody miracle that we just don’t appreciate enough; all our systems - respiratory, digestive, endocrine, immune – all are designed to achieve balance and work harmoniously together.   Our bodies, our souls and our minds are ours and we must protect them. The third brain is in the gut – the largest immune system – and if the gut is not healthy our instinctive nature does not function well.   Each part of the body relies on another part – they all need to work together.   Aquarius, the sign of community, needs its members to work together.  So this awakening has to do with the understanding of how the eco system of our bodies and that of the Earth are reliant on the sum of the parts all pulling their weight and working together, just as a civilized community relies on the sum of its parts.

 There’s an old saying that you can only change the behaviour of others by changing your own.   At this time it is crucial to understand how powerful our minds are and how powerful raising our consciousness can be.  Evolution is inevitable – mankind has always adapted to changing conditions and, as Zach Bush has reminded us many times, viruses are just part of those updates to our software system.   If we raise our consciousness we cannot be brainwashed or mind controlled, but if we are in fear we lose our power to stand in that raised consciousness.   Raising consciousness requires looking at the whole and not just one part of the whole. The next meeting in twenty years’ time of Jupiter and Saturn will be in Libra – the sign of love and harmony.   What if by then we have learned to elevate our consciousness and we have learned to live from ‘love’?   We then don’t have to live in a world where there is war, greed, murder, rape, control and corruption because we have transcended and elevated our consciousness to a vibratory level where that just does not happen.   Might that be the real Age of Aquarius?
