Why are we embracing our own destruction quite so silently?

The Full Moon in Libra on April 7 shows the nation’s people craving a life of peace and ease.  At root the people are strong but, when a nation’s body politic feels assaulted from so many sides, they can bring on their own dissolution with despair.  The Sun (Kings and leaders) is sandwiched between Chiron (wounding) and Jupiter (philanthropy or recklessness).  This Sun is damaged in some way and yet, with Jupiter in the picture and with the Sun in the sign of Aries, actions may be hasty, thoughtless perhaps, and massively overconfident.   It’s a Sun that is concerned with short term gain rather than being aware of future consequences.  In line with the myth of Chiron the leaders are wounded in some way – they have ingested a poison as did Chiron when he was wounded by an arrow.   In America we can see a wounded ‘Sun’ literally, having been very publicly arrested.  An extremely Jupiterian character, he is someone who divides naturally and emotionally – for some this will be the best thing ever and for others the worst.

Pluto’s entry into Aquarius is, of course, a top topic.  And yes this brief, just short of three month stay, will for sure give us more clues on what this cycle might hold for us.   However, he doesn’t fully enter the sign until January next year so perhaps we should be more concerned about the meaning of Pluto’s death throes in Capricorn than we seem to be.  A planet in the early degrees of a sign wants to hit the ground running, making its mark, but a planet at the end of a sign knows that it has very little time left to tidy up any loose ends.  Actions may become thoughtless, reckless, hurried and desperate.

What happened as Pluto left Sagittarius and entered Capricorn – we went through a severe recession.  Too big to fail Lehmann Brothers collapsed; Northern Rock collapsed and America experienced the subprime mortgage crisis.  Where are we now?  Silicone Valley Bank has collapsed along with two other banks in America.   Credit Suisse was bailed out and then bought for junk money and we see Deutsche Bank in severe trouble - both are known by astrologers to have been in trouble for many years.   So, has a crunch point finally arrived?  Where we are now is a combination of the death throes of the Pluto in Capricorn desire to get jobs finished before a full move forward into Aquarius.   The corruption of the Capricorn structures of banking, corporates and the reckless control of money and power has been revealed and we are looking for clues as to this new Aquarius season.

Aquarius represents freedom, humanity towards our fellow men, technology and scientific breakthroughs.   But with the realisation that the strength of the Capricornian control is about to die we see the hasty introduction of limits to our freedoms under the guise and monetisation of climate change policies - the LTN’s, the ULEZ restrictions.   We see the limiting of farming – something that has been somewhat under the radar but is now even appearing in the mainstream media.  We also see the push towards digital currencies; everything begins with the little things - the things that at first seem harmless and really convenient – and things we are told that will be for the good.   No need to carry cash, no need to worry where your passport is, that kind of thing.   But it seems that only one side of the population gives, whilst the other takes.  And a Full Moon in Libra craves fairness.  This is a technocratic dream alongside a longing for an ideal race.  So much more convenient if we have less people, but the ones we do have are perfect people – no useless eaters who become a drain on society.    As freedoms are limited and digitilisation via AI becomes a thing, we can easily see the potential for a Chinese system of social credit score.  Once the UK was regarded as a bastion for freedom of speech – sadly no more.

As I said, it all begins with the little things that at first seem harmless.  That’s how the hook first goes in.   One consequence of Pluto in Aquarius that we can see already is the potential of AI becoming immensely powerful.   But how much has it been thought through in terms of future consequences within everyday life?   Very little I expect considering the latest warnings and pleas to halt future rolling out until safety measures are considered.  The implications are just too big to contemplate.  ChatGPT is now able to surf the internet, write code for a specific task and then run it.   Even Elon Musk is one of those asking for a pause in development, but to be honest Musk has been instrumental in its creation so the jury is still out for me on his real credentials here.  But for sure he has a point.   With AI I do understand that there is potential for good here, but it also terrifies me because we do have history of becoming slaves to machines rather than the other way around.   It has all depended on who has written the programmes, but now we can have a machine creating programmes and software.     Can this AI escape its boundaries?   Launched at the end of November last year as a prototype we are now up to the fourth version, with a fifth in the wings by next year.  Its website has been avidly seized upon by those eager to test out its skills.   But AI, like many who wish to introduce it, has no conscience and no morals.

What happens once AI becomes smarter than humanity?  And that won’t take too long.  What happens when it overrides humanity and behaves in a way that it considers to be really ‘smart’ making its own decisions?   What happens when and if we really do live in a ‘smart’ house, in a ‘smart’ town, in a ‘smart’ country, doing a ‘smart’ job where our control, our identity and our money is all ‘smart’ driven and we really are at the mercy of AI?  What happens when everything, and I mean everything, about us is stored all in one place with the mission creep of convenience?  What happens when we not only have the Internet of Things but also the Internet of Bodies?

But, whilst we see the old would-be dictators such as Gates, Schwab, Soros etc. rapidly dragging forward their Capricorn wishes, we also see the upswing of a push back for the freedom of humanity (very Aquarius).   In some areas there is a Revolution happening.  This can particularly be seen in Holland where, following the forced closure of many farms, a new populist political party, The Farmer Citizen Movement (BBB – the BoerBurgerBeweging or BBB) has turned Dutch politics upside down.  In a shock result they overnight became the biggest party in the influential Dutch senate.  The Netherlands is one of our largest food suppliers and has been heavily on the receiving end of an EU climate change policy calling for the closure of thousands of farms to achieve net zero; the introduction of insects into our diets, however, is encouraged.  But the farmers are buoyed by this new political party and are trying to educate the people to fight back.

We also see France set on fire as the people almost re-enact the storming of the Bastille in protest against Macron’s dictatorial legislature on pensions.  If I were Macron, I don’t think I would set foot outside the door without a whole legion for protection.  Astrologically we can see many similarities between now and the chart for the storming of the Bastille – Pluto was in Aquarius and Saturn in Pisces at that time as now.  The revolutionary rebel Uranus was square to his current position in the Fixed sign of Leo, and the nodal axis was also Scorpio/Taurus.  Mars was in Gemini, just as he has been until very recently; his action in Gemini is fast but targeted on the firing up of news and propaganda.   Furthermore, the Sun was at 22 Cancer echoing the position of the 2020 Saturn/Pluto conjunction opposite.

As if this were not enough, we see the setting into UK law of a ruling which will allow the commercial development of gene edited food.  This action is supported by our King who I thought was committed to everything organic and natural.  This law allows the creation and marketing of ‘precision bred’ or genome-edited plants and vertebrate animals.  What is happening with our basic need for food?

If we add into this mix the fact that we could also so easily be on the verge of WW3, we should be extremely concerned about our futures.  And yet, as the chart for this Full Moon shows, we are in la la land – as though this is a film and everything turns out OK in the end, which well it might but not until we have felt the pain.   And yes, it is like a film – an illusion where we are actors playing our roles according to the desires of others.  Pluto squares the destiny axis with Mercury (our minds, our thoughts and our voices) sitting with the North End (the end of this destiny axis where we need to head for to achieve our potentials).  But Mercury here is slow in the sign of Taurus – it is fixed and stuck.  And remember in my last blog I spoke about the techniques that have been developed to wage war on our minds.

40/50 years ago it was different – the opportunity to control our minds had not been taken up.  The young were revolutionary as all young should be – they marched on the streets against war and oppression.  But what now?   The young have grown up with our technological threats and conveniences in the palms of their hands – they are so used to it that they see no problem; and the very very young are facing huge challenges even in schools where their minds should be most protected.  There is a subtle removing of parental rights so that children become more children of the state where state employees can know more about the children than the parents.

This gaping abyss which has been created is like the cliff edge that the lemmings cheerfully jump over one by one, not realising what awaits them at the bottom.   Anyone who might have tried to deter them from jumping would have been laughed at.  And, believe me, I say none of this to bring fear.  I say it because we should be aware because it is only from conscious awareness we are more able to make good decisions.

So what does this Full Moon suggest as a solution.   For starters both Sun and Moon are in what we call Cardinal signs – they have a basic programming to want to take action, but the Moon’s ruler Venus is in the Fixed, ‘heels dug in’, sign of Taurus.  She is, however, with Uranus – revolution could be closer than we think. Mars has finally moved out of Gemini and is now in Cancer.  Although this isn’t his greatest position, he does at least have a desire to protect his family and his home.   Mars links nicely with the planet of taking responsibility, Saturn.  Saturn is now moving ahead in Pisces, again not a great positioning and, as I have said, well placed to achieve the invisible ‘geofencing’ boundaries that come with digitalisation and things like the low traffic neighbourhoods’.   Both Mars and Saturn link harmoniously with Mercury sitting with the North Node.  So there’s helpful stuff.

Mercury on the North Node (our destiny potential) with Pluto (power and transformation) squaring both, seems the main message of this revealing Full Moon to me.   This is a psycho/spiritual death/rebirth aspect.  And this is reaffirmed by Venus, the planet that rules the Moon (the people), strong in her own sign, but sitting with Uranus the sky god who delivers shocks and disruptions in a bid to awake us.  We have to get in control of how we think and wake up pretty quickly.  Actions are being taken in the guise of being for our good (Sun with Jupiter) but this Sun also harms (Sun with Chiron), deluding the people (Venus trine Neptune) that all will be fine if only we do as we are told.

So we have to turn the energy around and, instead of it being used against us, we must embrace its meaning and use it for ourselves.  Instead of us being disrupted and shocked we have no choice but to become the disruptors, the revolutionaries, the ones who shock.  We have to become aware and conscious of what is really happening.  And that only happens if, in Libra fashion, we look at both sides and weigh up our options.  Libra represents the law, fairness, justice, and decisions being taken now are anything but just or fair.   The people have to ‘be’ the law and stand up for what is right for their families and their futures.   But they are being hoodwinked.   Decisions that are being taken now that are supposedly in our best interests seem more about monetisation and control.   Is this incessant drive for ‘net zero’, which will come at huge cost to our western way of life, and is for sure a policy that is not being adopted in many many large areas of the world, really the right decision for our wellbeing, based on true science?   Is this interminable war that seemingly has no target for peace of any kind, just bloodshed, the right thing to do?  And now Finland’s entry to NATO just prior to the Full Moon will only add to threats against Russia.  Also, just before this Full Moon the Opec+ cartel of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia and others have announced a reduction in output of oil which will spike prices once again upwards.

We have to see what is happening before it really is too late.  There is an obvious rapprochement between Russia, Iran, Saudi, China etc.  There is a move away from the petrodollar.  As America experiences transformation within its Empirical control as it goes through its own Pluto return, we choose between opening our eyes or becoming the lemming that throws itself off a cliff.  The Moon (the people) in Libra wants peace, wants to appreciate what nature brings, but the Sun sitting opposite appears more like a wounded person who in turn wants to deliver wounding to others from which we may find it hard to recover.  This may have devastating effects as well on our physical and mental health.  It resembles a timebomb waiting to explode.

As I looked at the chart of the French Revolution I wondered why the French always stand up for their rights while the British seem to immediately roll over like doormats. I noted the difference between the two national anthems.  Ours lays us at the feet of our monarchy, praising and lauding our King or Queen, and begging for them to be kept safe so they can look after us.   The French anthem, on the other hand, encourages a fight to the death, resisting tyranny against masters who are essentially traitors.    The British blindly repeat this ‘mouth music’ in the assumption that they will be saved and protected, whilst the French sing passionately and are on the streets showing their leaders exactly how they feel.  Let’s now just be a little more French perhaps.
