The light has your back while you go down the rabbit hole – but don’t stay too long

So we come full circle to the beginning of a new cycle as we reach the New Moon on November 15th  – this time in dark, deep, mysterious Scorpio.  Does anyone else feel as though they have woken up in a parallel universe?  As with all New Moons this is a time to make new intentions at this new beginning.   And, if we are to embrace the new, then we must first accept that one cycle has died and that we must look to the light for support as we integrate the polarities of light and dark.  

 Scorpio tends to be associated with ‘dark’ energy, mainly because of an association with secrets, what is hidden or taboo, death, elimination and purging up from the depths.  During Scorpio time in the northern hemisphere the days become shorter, winter approaches and we tend to fear what we can’t see that might be lurking out there in the dark.   But, in fact, the largest proportion of the Universe is just that – Dark.  It is Dark matter and Dark energy.  A New Moon in Scorpio says we must look into this Dark at the shadow, subversive energy.

 The average Scorpio holds his cards close to his chest and is perhaps one of the hardest to really ‘know’.  Charming on the outside – what you see is not necessarily what you get.   He is a master of disguise – he can be the wolf dressed as Red Riding Hood’s Grandma.    Out of interest I brought up Joe Biden’s chart only to find he has four planets (including his Sun) in Scorpio – all that external charm hides something else maybe.   I honestly have no axe to grind here beyond the search for the truth, but the chart shows he could well have many secrets buried behind the façade. However unpalatable Trump may be for some, his chart shows a far less secretive and more ‘what you see is what you get’ persona.  Remember the Trojan Horse of my last blog!

 As with all the astrological signs, there is a bell curve of how the Scorpio energy may be expressed; one end of the curve is positive and the other negative.   With Scorpio we see the embodiment of the archetypal energies of two Gods – the God of War (Mars) and the God of Death and the Underworld (Pluto/Hades).    Both these seem dark in their manifestation, but on the positive side Mars can give us courage and bravery, whilst the Underworld can also bring with it healing, renewal and regeneration.  

 The God of the Underworld has always been celebrated in myths, legends and within many religions as part of a death/rebirth ritual, depicting fertility, renewal and regeneration.  For the ancients fertility rituals were of huge importance because they reflected their very survival.   Celebrating death and rebirth through ritual was a way to ask the Gods for a good harvest in the year to come.  The story of Pluto/Hades’ abduction of Persephone, the daughter of the Harvest Goddess, and the resulting negotiation for her to return to her mother for six months of the year, was a means to explain these fertility and resurrection stories in terms of the descent of the land into silence and darkness during the winter months and the ‘resurrection’ of the plant life as the light wins through in  the Spring and Summer.   Fertility rites though were as much about the continuation of the human race as the ability of the land to return and feed the people.  The symbolic and archetypal meaning is that, before any kind of rebirth can take place, first there has to be some kind of death and elimination.   And that applies not only to the death and rebirth of the land, but also to the death/rebirth of the behavioural patterns of the human race.  Before we can achieve some kind of transformation and reach a resurrection moment where the phoenix flies up from the ashes, something within us has to first die so that it can be replaced by the new.   This is a story of dark versus light and good versus evil – we must always trust that light and good always win out. 

 Scorpio energy is powerful, penetrative, transformational and passionate.  But, the idea of the abduction and rape of Persephone I think carries another message – one of the rape and pillage of our planet.   Whilst we cannot control the death and return to life of the land, which ultimately feeds us and keeps us alive, we also must see that we destroy and poison (Scorpio) it. 

 Scorpio also carries a message of power and power struggles - the power and monumental strength held by Hades as he abused and abducted Persephone is epitomized when the power of huge wealth and position is wielded against others.   Individuals with strong Scorpio energy learn to become very artful manipulators.  If things don’t make sense then follow the money and you usually find the answer.  Power and money have a habit of turning things ‘dirty’ – look at people like Epstein, Weinstein, etc.   Look at the election in the US, which is no longer about two men wanting to be President, it is about the symbolism of control, divisiveness and a divided America.   

 Just before this New Moon we had the final ‘kiss’ of Jupiter and Pluto.   An astrologer friend of mine in America, Barbara Ruzzene, described this meeting as when Heaven (Jupiter) meets Hell (Pluto).  Jupiter tends to expand the energy of any planet he touches, so with these two together we may see toxicity and corruption of the like we can’t begin to imagine, and huge wealth of the kind we can’t imagine either, all wrapped up within unimaginable stratospheric power.  This could be reflected in large scale riots, revelation of huge corruption and some kind of financial inflationary or deflationary crisis, partly the result of a mass internal breakdown and implosion within our structures and the traditions of companies and events that we hold dear in our lives.   What we also see with Jupiter and Pluto together is an off the richter scale manipulation of the masses resulting in huge psychological crises and mass hysteria affecting a massive number of people.   This is the infective virus we should worry about the most – on the level of the ‘dark night of the soul’.  This is a fight to the death.

 We also have immense potential for some kind of healing and transformation, but this route will only come with great effort.  There will be a regeneration of some kind but we have to be awake to make the most of it.  In a divided world we allow the dark to erupt, but at the same time the light can shine in to expose the dark – the proviso is that we allow ourselves to see what is exposed.    And it is there hiding in absolute plain sight if only apathy can be overcome.  The third ‘kiss’ acts very often as a ‘clearing up energy’ and we have the announcement of some very imminent vaccines.   I still, however, consider this to very much reflect the Trojan Horse once again.

 So importantly how do we embrace Scorpio energy to help us move forward alongside the energy of the New Moon, particularly as Mars (drive, energy and ability to act) goes direct now?  

 ·      Empowerment:  Power and control wielded against others is hugely disempowering.   We must consciously take back our own power where we are able to, so that as far as possible we are in the driving seat of our lives.    Disempowerment can also happen subliminally via the subtle psychological techniques of emotional blackmail, particularly the fear mongering of the mainstream media.   So be alert to ‘the vampire energy’. 

 ·      Trust:  Scorpio does not trust easily, so this is also a story of how we trust and what we trust – trust in the good and trust in the light.   Scorpio takes nothing at face value and neither should we right now.   Dig deep and do your research, then in an empowered fashion align your actions with your beliefs and trust that there is both hope and light.

 ·      Talents and Transformation: Buried deep within you will be talents you possess but perhaps don’t have the courage to truly ‘own’.  So allow the light to be shone down the rabbit hole so that you can see and retrieve the talents you have buried down there.  Own these talents and then turn and face the light with Scorpio courage and passion - use those talents to allow the transformation and ‘the resurrection’ to take place.  This is particularly important because the next two lunations are eclipses when we really will need to fasten our seatbelts!

 ·      Truth: Our Western nations were built on the basis of freedom, liberty and truth.  Back in June I wrote about the story of Truth and Lies.    As Truth searched for her clothes that Lies had stolen, she found a world that could not cope with the ‘naked Truth’.  As Truth retreated from a world that struggled to cope with her, Lies stepped up and proceeded to satisfy the needs of a world that did not want to face up to the Truth.  And as Truth retreated, mainstream media became the political mouthpiece and driving force in the control of our behaviour - make no mistake both the news and social media are operating as mind control.   Orwell wrote that the further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.   Those whose language is different from ‘the acceptable narrative’ might recognize this within their lives. Beware the demise and retreat of Truth.

 The astrological planetary cycles demonstrate that we live in a world where life is not just random.   And the way to deal with this is to be aware, and use these planetary energies as a positive and strategic coping mechanism.   Even knowing these planetary cycles I now realise that I underestimated exactly how this period would prove to be such a psycho-spiritual, death/rebirth, turning point for humanity.  Now more than ever it is vital to be operating at a high consciousness state, not a low consciousness state.   We are in the matrix now – it’s time to choose whether you want the light or the dark.  It’s time to choose between the red pill and the blue pill.  It’s time to understand how the media is part of the problem as it peddles its mind control.  It’s time to differentiate between what is fake and what is real.   You do not have much time to wait.  Take back your power.  Trust the light.  Re-discover and own your talents.  Allow transformation to happen.  Bring back Truth.
