When the Parasites Eat the Host

The Parasite always takes – it never gives

On December 1st we have a New Moon in Sagittarius, a Mutable Fire sign ruled by Jupiter.  Sagittarius symbolises a strong need for freedom, truth and justice, whilst retaining an ability to change and adapt should the need arise.  In myth the sign is represented by Zeus, who, in ancient Greek mythology, was the King of all the Gods as well as God of the sky, lightning, and thunder; for the Romans he was known as Jupiter.

Astrologically, Jupiter is regarded as having a beneficial influence.  However, he does have a habit of exaggerating, expanding and ‘over-egging’ whatever he touches.   When he is in this mood he goes over the top; he can become pompous and overconfident in his actions.  That means he often promises a lot more than he actually delivers.  Despite that though, at this point in time humanity needs all the positive help it can get.

Mars and Pluto are still in opposition and, as I said in my last blog, Mars/Pluto aspects often speak of an intense need for survival – a kind of ‘do or die’ energy as the God of War faces up to the God of both Death and the Underworld.   At the last Full Moon the Mars/Pluto opposition was across the Cancer/Capricorn sign axis; now it has moved into the energy of Leo/Aquarius which changes the accent of the energy.   The opposition will be exact again in January and April next year.  Mars in Leo has a need to be ‘top dog’, whereas in Cancer the energy was more about passive/agressive control, and protection of home and family.

Pluto in Aquarius is more about power in a world of equals, perhaps through innovative technology, whereas Capricorn spoke more about top-down hierarchical entities such as corporates, governments, banking etc. – the plutocrats and the oligarchs.   Aquarian energy is much more about the collective, but the collective where the individual is exactly that – an individual, who very much retains his/her identity within the group, as opposed to being gobbled up into the herd of the masses at the bottom of a hierarchical structure.

 We can see this Mars/Pluto energy within increased tensions in the Russia/Ukraine conflict.   Following Trump’s election Zelensky spoke of a pathway to peace.  However, with just under two months to go before the inauguration, it has become clear that the idea of peace was not welcomed by some and, as Pluto went into Aquarius, the use of long-range missiles from the USA and the UK, was authorised.  Bear in mind though that in the UK we can’t even afford to fill the potholes in our roads or keep our old people warm;

Pluto in Aquarius would suggest a step up to nuclear or much more technological warfare systems.  And on November 21st, just two days after Pluto had changed signs, the Ukrainian city of Dnipro was hit by a Russian air strike, which eyewitnesses described as unusual, triggering explosions that went on for three hours.  Just as Zeus would have done in his day, Putin showed NATO his ‘checkmate’ card by showcasing a weapon that allegedly the West neither knew about nor possesses.

Zeus armed himself with a thunderbolt – but this is like the thunderbolt of thunderbolts.   According to Martin Armstrong of Armstrong Economics ‘Putin fired it for the sole purpose of demonstrating to the West what they are playing with…. as a last resort to warn the world what is at stake.’ Armstrong went on to say that ‘air defence systems would be powerless to stop the new missile called Oreshnik, meaning hazelnut, that flies at hypersonic speed. It has multiple warheads and can wipe out areas at a non-nuclear level – and the West has no credible defence against this.   The missile that hit Dnipro had reached a speed of Mach 11 and carried six non-nuclear warheads.  It is a weapon that allegedly can ‘rain down high velocity kinetic energy weapons anywhere by harnessing the gravity well of Earth.’   It has been described as ‘the wrath of God’ – ‘the thunderbolt from the skies’ - ‘Putin’s doomsday weapon’.   Viktor Orban, the Hungarian prime minister, cautioned against underestimating Russia’s responses. “It’s not a trick… there will be consequences,” he said.   This is just SO Pluto in Aquarius!!!!

The USA retaliated with a pledge to supply hugely unpopular landmines to Ukraine.  This is such old technology and totally goes against so many global policies that have been rightly worked hard for – it is much more representative of Pluto in Capricorn, rather than Aquarius.   But Russia’s new weapon is apparently experimental – how many do they actually have?  Also, as I write this on November 27th, one minute Israel was waging destruction on cities in the Lebanon, and the next minute announced a 60-day ceasefire.

Our so-called ‘leaders’ who are directing this conflict appear to have only their own gains in mind, which include lucrative contracts for rebuilding Ukraine and taking control of a land rich in resources.  Ben Rubin of UK Column News commented that this is asset stripping masquerading as economic growth.    Keir Starmer almost confirmed this saying that he was ‘determined to deliver growth, create wealth and put more money in people's pockets. This can only be achieved by working in partnership with leading businesses, like BlackRock’, he said, ‘to capitalise on the UK's position as a world leading hub for investment’.  This is nothing more than Pluto in Capricorn where the masses are herded, possibly even to their death, to behave merely as an economic resource. It also reflects how the parasites try to influence our minds through creating fears that lead us to spend our money where they desire.

These people are nothing but parasites acting as leeches to gain power and to direct global events towards their own ends.  Humanity is treated with disdain, merely the resource required to fulfil their desires.  But what happens when the parasite becomes too large and attempts to totally take over its host – a host that had at the beginning been unaware of the parasite’s long-term goals?  Not so long ago Zelensky was talking up peace after Trump’s election, but that was when Mars/Pluto were operating across the Cancer/Capricorn axis.  Now in the Leo/Aquarius energy we are into the spectre of an even stronger war; we are in the realm of Fixed energy where each side could just dig down even harder.

On my woodland walks with my dog I very often see trees (hosts) and fungi (parasites); usually in proportion – big tree much smaller fungus, almost as though the parasite ‘knows’ to keep a low profile if it is to survive.  But does it know?  In today’s world it seems that the parasites have become so sure they are right, so arrogant and entitled that they feel they can do whatever they want, and the host will keep on giving.    Now that Pluto has entered Aquarius, however, there is a very different ‘feel’ to the background energy and, in my opinion, the outer planets show their effect mainly within the behaviour of collective society.

There are precedents in nature for parasites that overwhelm their hosts and hijack the mind of the host – devouring the victim from the inside as it extracts every last nutrient.  The host then loses control before the fungus/parasite goes on to ‘infect’ others.  This is not fiction – it is very real in the kingdom of fungi – and in fact, inspired "The Last of Us" – a popular video game and now a TV series which follows the same plot.

Even a small tick doesn’t stop until it is fully engorged, but by then it may well have damaged the host on a physical, mental and psychological level.  These parasites feed off our life force, our emotions, our fear.  They tempt us into greed, desire and fear so that we produce more of the negative emotions that they need to feed from.   A parasite lives at the expense of another - it is a living thing that lives in or on another living things.  Therefore it only ever takes – it never gives; it has no empathy.

Our leaders are not ‘elites’, they have become an overwhelming parasitic force on a global level, and humanity then becomes a mere resource that provides wealth for those with that dubious title of leaders.  They are literally feeding off us.  The matrix works within us through our minds, its materialistic paradigm acting as a political, social and psychological control system that prevents normal evolutionary progression.    Plato in the Republic in his allegory of the cave showed us how our minds are distracted by the shadows on the walls.  The media is a resource used to distract us and produce the very negative emotions that the parasitic vampires need from us.

Back in the 1970’s when I was still working for a very large American corporate, the department that dealt with the affairs of the company’s employees had the title of Personnel.  Then in the late 70’s that changed to Human Resources, supposedly because companies realised that their staff were their main asset – and they wanted to show ‘respect’ for their value.  However, we are the human side of their resources that brings wealth to their table.   We are just a resource in the eyes of the overlords.

Governments need the cooperation of the people; the people need to feel that their leaders have their interests at heart.   If they do, they will accept difficult regulations as fair but needed for their futures.   However, if the government is seen as a parasite, extracting more and more in taxes from the people to fund their ideologies, then such governments may struggle to retain support, particularly in a period when the background energy becomes rebellious and revolutionary (Aquarius).  And this is evident in the UK right now.  The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was around the time of the French Revolution and the American War of Independence.

At this New Moon we see the Sun, Moon and Mercury sitting opposite Jupiter, their ruler, all in a square to Saturn.  Both Jupiter and Mercury (Jupiter’s ruler in this chart) are retrograde.  There is a lot of holding back and inability to move forward at this point; Saturn brings a need for a reality check, and in Pisces perhaps some kind of spiritual or compassionate reality check because of the chaos involved.  If obstacles are presenting themselves, the mutable energy of this T-square requires that situations are examined carefully to see if methods can be changed and adapted.  This is what is known as ‘an out of bounds Moon’ – it is a maverick Moon that can bring some kind of unexpected change or shocking events, which may require us to take our own reality check (square to Saturn).  It also sits with Antares, a Fixed Star that sits at the heart of the Scorpion.  It is regarded as one of the Royal Stars of Persia that has the potential to indicate great success, but also great undoing.   It is another indication of the Mars/Pluto ‘do or die’ activity.  It could indicate ‘crimes of obsession’ and power games that take place behind the scenes’ in great secrecy driven by very narrow views.   But there is also a Fire trine between the New Moon, Mars and the North Node (our goals) so there is helpful energy here to enable us to find our way through the chaos, but this is what I call ‘lazy energy’ so we have to use effort (Saturn) to employ the vision, imagination and energy of the Fire energy within that trine to get to where we want to be – and that is difficult if we are permanently distracted by ‘the shadows on the walls’.

Individuals with accents on Sagittarian energy seek to understand the truths within the lies so that they can really understand the bigger picture at work and see justice delivered.   Aquarians are the non-conformists who have no desire to walk to the same beat as everyone else.  Aquarius is the sign of the collective, but a collective where each individual counts, where the people retain their own sense of individuality within their tribe, and the tribe within the bigger group.  Jupiter/Saturn began the new 200+ year cycle in Air at 0 degrees Aquarius and Pluto’s entry into the sign has triggered this; we are clearly into Aquarius energy – which is bottom up as opposed to the top down energy of Capricorn.   This is very important now!!!!

Looking further at the Mars/Pluto opposition across Leo/Aquarius, the Mars in Leo side loves a bit of drama.  The Aquarian side, however, is very skilled at detaching from drama and in my opinion that is the line we should try to take.   We can obviously show our desire to not conform but, if we detach from the drama that is created, we can be so much more able to use the Sagittarian skills and be able to really understand events from the stance of the bigger picture because we are not distracted and we are not sucked in.    What the parasite really wants is to hook everyone into its own drama of desires.  By being detached though we can see ‘the shadows on the walls’ for what they really are and be the truth-seekers that we should be. We can see these leaders for what they are – parasites rather than elites!! At this New Moon, not only can we see from the point of view of the bigger picture but also we are able to make good strategies for the future and within our daily lives (Moon opposite Jupiter square Saturn).
